Beef burgers are one of my favourite, the problem with the ones purchased from the supermarket is they are full of inferior meat and lots of other nasty things used for padding. Not these bad boys only the best will do here.
They are quick to prepare, easy to cook and make a great addition to your healthy eating diet plan. Give them a go and let us know what you think. I love them for breakfast.

1 Sweet Potato (diced)
800g Minced Beef
1 Garlic Clove (diced)
1 Red Onion (diced)
1 Apple (cored and diced)
1 large egg
2 Tbsps Tomato Puree
1 Tbsp Light Tahini
1 Tbsp Smoked Paprika (dried)
1 Tsp Crushed Chillies (dried)
Salt & Pepper
Dice the potato, garlic clove, red onion, and apple and place in a large mixing bowl.
Add the egg, tomato puree, tahini, smoked paprika, crushed chillies, salt and pepper to the diced ingredients. Mix all ingredients together with a spoon.
Once ingredients are thoroughly mixed add the raw minced beef. Using your hands mix the minced beef into the existing ingredients in the bowl.
Taking a small amount of mixture to fill the palm of your hand, gently roll to create a ball.
Place the ball onto your greaseproof paper and gently press with the palm of the hand to create a burger shape.
Continue this process with the remaining ingredients until there are approximately 8-9 burgers.
Cook for approximately 8 minutes on a pre-heated griddle.
Burgers can be wrapped in greaseproof paper and frozen raw for later use.
The burgers in this recipe are cooked on a griddle or a George Foreman type grill, but they can also be oven cooked which takes that much longer. Fan Oven 200, 20-25mins.
